As soon as spring arrives, you can begin to discover the unique countryside of the upper Zillertal along our splendid, extensive hiking paths totaling some 200 kilometers in length. However the mood takes you, and depending on your physical conditioning, you can look forward to an array of relaxing walks and easy hikes, as well as expeditions to alpine huts and the high peaks.
In summer, the weather conditions are perfect for climbing even the highest summits. Numerous hiker's refuges and 3,000-meter peaks are ready and waiting to be conquered by you for the very first time. Experienced alpinists and mountain guides from Mayrhofen and the surrounding area are glad to assist you on your way to summiteering glory. For nature lovers, Zillertal Alps Nature Park promises unforgettable experiences. It covers some 379 km² and offers numerous hiking paths, along which you can acquaint yourself with and see with your own eyes the animals and plants of this high-alpine region.
